The History of the Internet.

As 2018 melts into 2019 it might be instructive to look at how we got to where we are today.  Generation Z (people born in this century) can’t conceive of a world without it.  However, the concept of a world wide web goes back all the way to the 1950’s with the development of electronic computers.  How about that Baby Boomers!

I’ll bet you have never heard of Donald Davies.  He is a name lost in time, but he played a huge roll in the internet’s development.  In 1965 he developed the concept of packet switching.  Today it is the basis for data communications in computer networks throughout the world.  Google him.  He was a fascinating individual.  He even looked the part of computer nerd!

As the New Year dawns the internet is a part of billions of lives every day.  We search for everything.  Look up at my reference to Google it.  Google is now a verb as well as a noun.  If you own a small business, we hope that you will allow Internet Highway to assist its growth in 2019 and beyond.  Happy New Year and just keep moving forward.
